Challenge
As the sole legal counsel in a company with over 130 employees, multiple entities and operations across various jurisdictions, Stacey faces an ever-widening range of legal responsibilities. From ensuring compliance with laws and regulations to handling contracting and corporate matters, the workload is demanding. The frequent, often repetitive queries from the business further stretch her capacity. Traditionally, Stacey would have scaled her capacity by hiring extra headcount.

The Wordsmith moment
Stacey first encountered Wordsmith AI through a recommendation from a legal community she is a member of. After trying out Wordsmith for two weeks, Stacey quickly realised the potential of Wordsmith to change how she works.
“I could effectively use Wordsmith from the first moment I registered and logged in. I did not need to go through a long implementation and saw productivity gains almost instantly. Wordsmith also stood out because of its commitment to data security and privacy, which as you can imagine, made it attractive to us,” Stacey explained.
How Eye Security uses Wordsmith
Massive productivity gains
For day-to-day legal work, Stacey relies heavily on Wordsmith’s writing and brainstorming features. Whether refining and negotiating agreements, drafting policies, or conducting research, Wordsmith enables her to work smarter and more efficiently.
Stacey finds it easier to context shift between legal topics thanks to Wordsmith and can get way more done in a day because she can outsource many first drafts to Wordsmith, allowing her to iterate from there.
“Wordsmith is like having a virtual legal team with paralegals and seasoned professionals combined, tailored to the specific task and need,” Stacey noted.
Wordsmith also makes it easy for Stacey to always check if the AI is correct and to see if she needs to make any changes to the output. The citations in Wordsmith mean Stacey always knows the basis for the AI’s answer.
Giving the business instant access to legal knowledge
One of Stacey’s top priorities is automating repetitive questions that can come from the business when something new is launched, such as an equity scheme, a new legal agreement, or a policy.
Using a Wordsmith AI agent in Slack powered with Eye Security’s knowledge, Stacey has been able to create AI agents that will give her colleagues instant access to legal knowledge.
Wordsmith gives Stacey full control over what knowledge the AI uses to answer questions and the style of responses.
“I am excited for how Wordsmith can help other teams in the business and reduce the need for me to answer commonly asked questions,” Stacey commented.
What the future looks like
With Eye Security’s continued growth, Stacey sees Wordsmith as an essential partner. The tool not only addresses immediate needs but also helps future-proof the legal function.
“I can’t imagine going back to how I used to work before using Wordsmith; it just seems so inefficient now. Wordsmith is more than just a productivity tool; it’s reshaping how I think about hiring and scaling the Legal team.” Stacey shared.
Advice for legal teams
When asked for advice, Stacey’s message was clear: “Just get started. AI tools like Wordsmith can transform your workflow. Take the time to map out your responsibilities and see where AI can help. You’ll be amazed at what’s possible.”
